Direct Sound (Extreme Isolation) started as a hobby. Combining the love of music with sound engineering knowledge, the idea was to create a new design of drummer headphones. to protect your hearing during long sessions. One that would provide almost total isolation in a natural way.

The first order of 24 headphones in 2001 convinced Extreme Isolation designers that they were right: there was a demand in the industry, and among the public, for easy-to-use sound insulation headphones.
