Description
The Useful Arts BF-S Pro DI designed to capture more of what your pickup puts out by requiring it to do very little electrical work. We achieve this by presenting the pickup with a ridiculously high input impedance, and amplifying the signal with a pure vacuum tube signal path. The BF-S features an ultra low-noise 250-volt linear power supply for maximum headroom and clarity, and a bypassable two-band tube EQ specifically designed for use with electric and acoustic instruments. Though it functions well as a DI, the BF-S should really be thought of as an interface between the instrument and amplifier (or Mic Pre) for live performances and recording. To get the most out of this unique unit, please follow the suggestions below.
The BF-S works its magic when it is the first device after the pickup in the signal chain. Plug the instrument directly into the BF-S. It will happily drive any other device (effects, amplifiers, convertors, console inputs) that follow.
