Description

The Rupert Neve OptoFET Dual Stage Compressor combines FET compression circuit with an optimised optical design within a single 1U. Each compressor features fully variable parameters for attack, release, threshold, make-up gain, and parallel blend, complemented by sidechain high-pass filters and the exclusive GRIT and BLOOM harmonic modes. Additionally, the unit incorporates global controls to flip the signal order in Dual Stage mode, alongside a unique variable crossover control for managing compression across the upper and lower frequency bands in Dual Band mode.

Two primary compression modes:

  • Dual Stage mode, the FET and OPTO compressors are utilised in series for comprehensive dynamic control over critical sources, effortlessly achieving a common recording and mixing technique.
  • Dual Band mode, each compressor is assigned to either a low or high frequency band, allowing for independent processing that expands both tone modelling and dynamic control.
