Description
The Heritage Audio P DI 2 is a passive two channel high quality custom-made HA-DI transformer-equipped box for exceptional professional studio recording, as well as live use.
It works best with active circuit instruments like keyboards, synths, drum machines, samplers and some guitars and basses, when they are required to be plugged into a PA or recording system. By matching the instrument’s output level to a typical microphone level, converting it to a balanced signal and minimising noise, you can be sure you’ll achieve the strongest, clearest signal possible. You also receive a -15dB pad to handle extra hot incoming signals, ground lift, and a Thru output to split your signal to additional gear such as a monitor or amp.
Heritage Audio P DI One Features:

Active DI (e.g., Heritage 73 DI): These feature active electronic circuitry to adapt the impedance. They require phantom power, offer better high-frequency response, greater transparency, and capture weak signals more effectively. They are ideal for passive instruments such as guitars and passive basses.
Passive DI (e.g., Heritage P DI): These use an internal transformer to adapt the impedance and balance the signal. They provide excellent electrical isolation to prevent noise or ground loops, deliver a warm and natural tone, do not require phantom power, handle strong signals without distortion, and are ideal for active instruments such as active basses, keyboards, and synthesizers.
