Description
The Drawmer FC1 brings Drawmer compression to the 500 Series format. Featuring a comprehensive set of controls and advanced shaping tools, this unit finally delivers the precision, flexibility and character of a full-size Drawmer rack processor while occupying a single slot.
The FC1 is a FET compressor, making it ideal for achieving powerful and punchy compression thanks to its fast “attack” and “release” times. Among its most notable features are the BIG and AIR modes, which alter the compressor’s response to low and high frequencies respectively, adding greater richness and warmth to the low end, and increased clarity, presence and sparkle to the high frequencies. It also incorporates the popular Crush function, introducing harmonic richness, subtle distortion and the kind of analogue warmth that is often difficult to achieve. In addition, the PGM mode helps reduce excessive pumping and other unwanted artefacts.
For stereo applications, the Stereo Link function allows multiple FC1 modules to be linked together, with one unit acting as the master controller.
