Description
The Black Lion B12A Quad is a four-channel microphone preamp with 70 dB of gain that delivers a solid vintage sound. Housed in a rugged 1U chassis, the user has access to features such as phantom power, polarity inversion, 18dB pad circuits, and a hi-Z switch.
The redesigned gain stage and lower noise floor deliver a cleaner sound with less distortion, while CineMag input and output transformers keep signals warm and energetic. Two front-panel direct injection (DI) boxes add harmonic richness to guitars, basses, and synthesisers, while the stepped input gain and variable output attenuation allow precise control over transformer saturation. Channel metering indicates the intensity at which the output signal reaches the parallel XLTRS/R outputs, while an external power supply keeps noise away from the tracks.
