Between Sintra and Cascais, two of the most beautiful villages in Portugal, in a warehouse located in Alcabideche, the fabulous Quested Q412D monitors have already begun to sound as of yesterday. These are three-way active monitors, complemented by QSB1118 subwoofers, which Reflexion Arts has brought to Portugal for Martin Bresso (a.k.a. DJ Tchami). The monitors were installed in a control room designed by Pedro Villas.
The room, featuring a rather unique front wall made entirely of bulletproof laminated glass, shows impressive modal control for its size. The flush-mounted monitors deliver surprisingly high resolution.

Quested Q412D Monitors
The Quested Q412D are large-format, three-way active studio monitors, designed for demanding professional environments such as large control rooms and mastering studios. They represent the pinnacle of studio monitoring, suitable for situations requiring high precision, wide dynamic range, and high SPL. Their combination of tight, fast low end, smooth mids with a wide dispersion range, and detailed highs, turns any mix into a reference-level experience. Available only by special order and in two versions: one for flush-mounting and one freestanding.
Over the past four decades, Quested has supplied large monitoring systems to customers such as Hans Zimmer, Sting, Trevor Horn, Michael Cretu, Gloria Estefan, Bruce Botnik, and many others. Likewise, renowned studios like Abbey Road, Sarm West, Hit Factory Mastering, RAK, PARR Street, and Hansa Berlin have all trusted Quested’s main monitors.
Quested QSB1118 Subwoofer:
The Quested QSB1118 18″ subwoofer extends the system’s low-frequency response linearly down to 22Hz (17Hz -6dB). With an impressive 93dB sensitivity and capable of handling up to 750W (AES), this speaker is the perfect complement for situations requiring extended low-end performance at high SPL. In this setup, the QSB1118 simply covers the system’s lowest octave— below 40Hz—freeing the four 12″ drivers to deliver ultra-fast transient response, greatly enhanced by the excellent damping of the Quested AP-1550-2 amplifier.
System Setup at Studio of DJ Tchami…
Ollie Shortland from Quested traveled specifically from the UK to perform the system’s final calibration, down to the finest detail. The system includes not only the monitors but also four Quested power amps, manufactured by MC2, and a signal processor, customized for Quested by XTA. For two days, Ollie, Martin, Pedro, and Sergio Castro conducted exhaustive listening sessions and technical testing until Martin Bresso gave his final approval.

Who is Martin Bresso (DJ Tchami)?
Martin Bresso, born in 1985 in Paris, is a French composer, producer and DJ, known and recognized for his work with Lady Gaga, and performs under the stage name DJ Tchami.
Tchami rose to fame in 2013 thanks to his remix of Janet Jackson’s “Go Deep”, and soon positioned himself as a pioneer of “future house”, a subgenre he helped defining and popularised a year later alongside Oliver Heldens and Don Diablo. His hit “Promesses” featuring Kaleem Taylor became a club anthem and propelled him into the international spotlight.
In 2015, he founded the record label Confession, a platform that has launched emerging talents like Malaa, Mercer, and Dombresky.
