Soundhub

Barcelona, Spain, (1999 & 2003)

SoundHub is located in a building located in Gran Via, just beside the headquarters building, where a few other smaller post production studios have been operating for many years.
Room 14 was designed in 1999 by Tom Hidley in close collaboration with Philip Newell and Reflexion Arts. It was prepared from the outset to allow for SDDS (Sony) mixes. The construction was carried out by the usual Hidley team, who chose the Reflexion Arts RA 234 and RA BX1 monitors, together with the usual JBL8340 to equip the room, which was to be the reference in Spain.

Room 15, in 2003, was entirely designed by Philip Newell and built by Reflexion Arts. Its variable acoustics allows for the recording acoustic music sessions in the same space. Monitors are a 6.1 system consisting of three Reflexion Arts RA234, two subwoofers RA BX1 and nine JBL 8340A (surrounds) with RA Studio II, Neva Audio NA2800 and Park VX1200 amps, respectively.
